Marie-Adele Moniot is a writer, editor, and content strategist and currently serves as editorial director of ACLU Magazine. Previously, she was managing director of content at Teach For America, content director at the ASPCA, and a writer/editor for the Texas Legislative Council, Art+Culture Projects, and ONE Media/Magazine (with stints in between at MoMA, Texas Monthly, and the Huntington Library Press). Her art writing has appeared in Sculpture Review, Art Lies, Pastelegram, ...might be goodGlasstire, and SFGate, among others, and she has been a member of the International Association of Art Critics since 2006.

Born in California and raised in Texas, Marie-Adele lives in New York City with her husband, Michael Kirby Smith, daughter, and a dog named Gus.
